What is the American VISA LOTTERY?

All you need to know about US Immigration.

All you need to know about US Immigration and American Visa Lottery

When applying for a US Visa, you can choose from a number of Immigration classifications and select the most suitable category you want to apply through, such as Immigrant visas, Family based Immigration, Employee based Immigration. The most opted for category out of the above three options is the Immigrant Visa or the Green card. The Green Card or the American Visa can be obtained by taking part in a Diversity Visa Program, also known as the USA Visa Lottery or Green Card Lottery. This Visa Lottery program was enacted by the United States Congress in the year 1990. Under this Lottery Program, the winner applicants are chosen randomly or in other words a "Lottery" is conducted by the U.S. State Department, and the Green Cards are awarded to the winners. Currently this program allocates 55,000 Visas or "Green Cards" to applicants around the world, but under certain conditions and only to the list of eligible countries. The eligible Lottery countries include all the other countries in the world EXCEPT the following: Russia, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Columbia, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Korea, Philippines, United Kingdom and Vietnam. The legal or official permission to stay and relish the citizenship of United States is known as Green card. This is basically an identification card that separates a legal permitted immigrant from another from an illegal immigrant. Issued or authorized by government of United States through 'U.S citizenship and Immigration services (USCIS)', this green card allows or permits people from around the world to work or stay in United States. But, to win or earn a green card there are conditions to met or fulfilled. These conditions are basic requirements one has to meet to become legal citizen of United States, and there are also certain things you need to be careful not to do when filing for the Visa Lottery. What you need to do is just get an on-line application form from any of the Visa Lottery websites online, fill it correctly and submit it electronically or mail it to them. Answer the questions accurately and correctly. Attach the required application form, documents and photographs carefully. What you should avoid doing is never try to forge documents or your sponsor, as this pushes you out of the row of applicants and deprives you of your chance of attaining Green Card. Such knowing mistakes are usually harmful enough to bring you in the eyes of Immigration officers. Also, make sure to never submit incomplete or half filled documents, thus make sure you cross check all your papers and be aware of the documents you need to attach. So if you are someone who wishes to get a permit to live, immigrate or work the United States, then applying for an American Visa Lottery or Green Card is the best and the most popular option to look for.
